Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual counseling sessions to assess client needs, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing support.
- Offer a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can express their concerns and explore their emotions.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients manage stress, cope with life challenges, and enhance their mental health.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and facilitate appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in counseling theories, techniques, and ethics.
Requirements:
- A valid registration as a Clinical Counsellor with a recognized professional association.
- A master’s degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field.
- Proven experience in providing individual counseling in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude.
- Strong organizational abilities and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- A Clinical Counsellor who has a background or interest in physical rehabilitation, pain and concussion would be an asset.
