What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology, specifically human kinesiology, is the study of human movement. Kinesiology encompasses a number of areas in relation to health and wellness, including exercise rehabilitation, exercise prescription, and movement analysis. Using the disciplines of physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, and psychology kinesiology strives to rehabilitate and/or improve human performance.
What is a Kinesiologist?
Kinesiologists help their clients by prescribing exercises safely and effectively to recreate movement balances, assisting and motivating clients to achieve health and wellness goals, and recommend solutions for an overall healthy lifestyle.
When should I see a Kinesiologist?
If you have suffered an injury (maybe from a car accident, a sports injury, or home injury) and require active rehabilitation through a personally tailored exercise program to help return you to optimal performance, a kinesiologist can get you there.
