Mindsweeping for Well-Being – reduce stress, promote relaxation, mindfulness and improved sleep

SPRING 2016

Mindsweeping for Well-being is a 6 session workshop covering some practices that may help reduce the impact of stress in your life, while also enhancing a sense of overall well-being. The workshop includes five group sessions and an individual follow-up meeting.

Participants will be introduced to a sampling of core relaxation and mindfulness techniques including relaxation breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, mindfulness, and cultivating kindness toward ourselves. These practices are associated with a number of physical and psychological health benefits such as increased positive emotions, improved sleep, mental and physical stamina, improved relationships, bolstering the immune system, and reducing the impact of certain health conditions.

If you have ever wondered what these kinds of practices are about but were uncertain whether pursuing a single in-depth course was right for you, this workshop will provide an opportunity to try them out for yourself.

About the presenter: Greg McCallum is a Registered Psychologist with 30 years of combined experience practicing and teaching in the area of wellness and stress management. His clients have included students (elementary to university), high-performance athletes, educators, School Psychologists, and adult continuing education programs.
